2002 White Downs near Guildford 7 September One Day Meeting
Ten members met the leader Roy Sherlock at Abinger Roughs near Guildford on a fine but not sunny day. Unfortunately, due to ailment he was unable to accompany them but several experienced members were present and provided with sketch maps of the circular route.119 plants were recorded including Atropa belladonna (deadly nightshade), Fallopia dumetorum (copse bindweed), Kickxia elatine (sharp-leaved fluellen) and Spiranthes spiralis (autumn lady's-tresses). Many plants were identified using keys, for the benefit of newer members.
